Continuous Professional Development Program for Teachers Launched in Ferozepur, Punjab, Through TheTeacherApp

Ferozepur, September 10, 2026: The District Administration, Ferozepur, in collaboration with NITI Aayog and Bharti Airtel Foundation, launched the Continuous Professional Development Program for Teachers through TheTeacherApp at Hotel Gray Heights, Ferozepur, Punjab.

The event brought together around 100 educators and senior education officials and focused on strengthening teachers’ professional learning through technology-enabled resources, innovative pedagogical practices, and continuous capacity building.

The event was held in the presence of Shri Krishna Pal Rajpoot-IAS, ADC (Rural Development); Shri Gurinder Singh, Research Officer, Deputy Economic & Statistical Advisor; Shri Sanjeev Maini, Junior Assistant, Deputy Economic & Statistical Advisor; Smt. Munila Arora, District Education Officer (SE); and Smt. Sunita Rani, District Education Officer (EE). Lt. Col. Jitendra Verma, OSD, NITI Aayog, joined the event virtually. Representatives of the Bharti Airtel Foundation present on the occasion included Mr. Alok Upadhyay, Manager – Partnerships; and Mr. Gaurav Maggu, Project Coordinator.

TheTeacherApp, Bharti Airtel Foundation’s free-for-life digital platform for teacher training and professional development, has over 3 lakh users across the country. The platform offers high-quality content and AI-enabled tools, including self-paced professional development courses, expert-led webinars, AI-powered tools for lesson planning and assessment, classroom resource repositories, question banks, misconception documents, and opportunities to engage with a wider professional learning community.
